The Law of Vibration - Science is Starting to Pluck the Strings

First time this thought came to my mind when I was 5 year old. In my first standard, I failed in one subject both during half yearly and in annual exam. That mighty subject was, 'Moral science'. I had trouble in cramming all the lessons of honesty, hard work, obedience as I was pretty poor in English. Now again, after 18 years, this thought re-invent itself in my mind.
'Why do we need 'moral science' classes?'
If we try to analyse the reminiscence of moral science syllabus and the practical relevance of it, we will hardly find any correlation. Morality now seems to be nothing more than an illusion which generates the requisite social cohesion necessary in rearing offspring. If you aspire for better, classless society, kingdom of heaven on earth, then forget it. Its all humbug. Even the most sanguine man about morals knows that the world has never changed for better. From the birth of Christ and even before that, wars, treachery and lies are the innate elements of the society. So, what is morality and how it is invented?
From Cambridge dictionary, meaning of the 'morality' is 'a personal or social set of standards for good or bad behavior and character or the quality of being right, honest and acceptable.' Now few questions naturally arise
Who has decided these standards?
Is it God, messenger of god, or normal human beings?
To whom these standards apply?
Is it for intellectuals, saints or common men?
May be you are not sure about all of these answers. but for first question, you will probably say 'God'. Okay, then why in every civilization, these rules are almost same even their Gods are different. All the other tenets are different except these set of moralities. Strange....!! isn't?. Another strange thing is, If you think truth always triumphs, then you should know what is truth. Truth according to masses is what masses believe. In 15th century, the truth was,'earth is flat'. Now, we all know that earth is 'round'. May be in 25th century, truth will be that, 'earth is a moon of another giant planet in distinct galaxy'. Who knows?
Lets understand that we all have to play our role in this world. Whatever moral science teaches us, some people would be criminals, workers, diplomats, sycophants, leaders etc. At some point of time, all people uses power of 'lie' to play their part more efficaciously. Lie is a requisite condition to grow in some cases. If you teach 'honesty is the best policy' to your child, then give that child an honest world. For eg. Leaders have to channelize the mob by instilling the feeling of respect( rather I should say chauvinism) toward one's country, religion, region, caste or showing them the Utopian mirage. These morals do sometimes contradict respect and honesty. If you don't like a person and you have to stay with him, then you have leave the either of the two morals.
On closer examination, we will understand that these morals are generally applies to us, the bourgeois or middle class or common man.Take example of hard work, the most hard working people are the blue caller people. But still they are under ecclesiastic or white collar people who are less hardworking. Obedience is also for normal man only. Neither the king have to be obedient, nor the thieves. 'Caring and sharing' for people in upper part of the social pyramid is good for pets only. They all know that caring and sharing became a habit first, then it will result into duty and finally a burden.
Then what would be the other path, what we should teach our children? A best would be a class on 'Life lessons'. At small age we have to teach them, how to lie efficiently, making them a glib. We have to make them innovative while giving excuses. It is the most simple way to handle the tough situation. Nobody is interested in listening the truth. They just want to hear, what rationally justifies the situation. Teach people to be self centered. In graduation we can teach, the importance of opportunity. As it doesn't strike twice, make your own road towards the opportunity by hook or crook. Teach them how to snatch moments of pleasure rather than earning happiness. And finally, how to find a self respect in dishonesty?
For scholars like PhD, the final 'Life lesson' should be taught. If, you have made your life so complex that either truth or suicide is the only way to get out of that web. You are so much enchanted by the old moral thoughts of peace of mind, that you questioned yourself about participation in this rat race of materialistic pleasure. You seem to be in dire need of faithful friends than a new car. Consult a psychiatrist or a sanyasi baba. He/ she will convince you that you may have done wrong in the past but now your life can be on track. Devote some time and money with them. And buy peace...as simple as it can be!! 'Life lessons' could be an anodyne for the society.
May be I am wrong. But I am sure that if in future this kind of 'Life lesson' subject would be taught in the school, my son would never complain about the introduction of this subject. As he would know how to cheat in an exam!!...nice lesson...isn't?
